Summary:
This is a fully-qualified position that performs maintenance and repair and assists in inspection of company-owned aircraft to ensure continuous operation, aircraft safety and airworthiness. Performs maintenance of airframe and power plant. Installs manufacturer's engineering changes. Removes and installs mechanical components of the aircraft.

Major Duties/Responsibilities: 
The aircraft maintenance technician will perform maintenance of airframe and power plant and shall have limited authority to determine airworthiness and return to service aircraft, engines, components or appliances on which he or she has worked. Documentation of work activities per FAR part 43.9 and 43.11 will also be supervised.  Assists in performing FAA required formal inspections.

Aircraft maintenance technician will assist with cleaning and upkeep of aircraft on a regular basis. Technician will assist with fuel deliveries to fuel farm as well as fueling of aircraft.  All operational activities involving the aircraft, departure, arrival, loading and unloading shall be assisted by the technician.

Technician will track all FAA regulatory documentation as well as all OEM bulletins and letters pertaining to the aircraft. Technician shall assist with all aircraft component tracking and log book entries.

Technician will support daily operations of hangar maintenance, improvement projects and cleaning of support equipment and hangar facility.

The technician may be asked to act as flight technician on flights to assist crew with passenger and aircraft operation.

Scope of the Position:
The incumbent will work under the supervision of more experienced technicians and manager. As experience and competence increases, the need for direct supervision will decrease.  This individual shall be required to work unsupervised when fully competent. Individual shall be self-directed and proactive in all aspects of maintenance activity.

The incumbent shall fulfill crew chief role when fully competent.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: 
  • Must possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power plant License
  • Have a working knowledge of the Federal Air Regulations
  • Have a high electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to clear a required Federal Air Security Background Check
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • Possess eyesight and dexterity necessary to meet the performance requirements of Federal Air Regulations 65 , subpart D and AC-65-2d
  • Possess complete physical mobility
  • Possess computer skills competent to today’s standards, (Windows 7, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 
  • Education:  Airframe and Power plant License required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience:  Three to five years’ of recent experience preferred
