JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:
LAUNCH has new jobs open in Santa Fe Springs, CA (Los Angles area) for Technicians for the aircraft component overhaul process. This is a great opportunity to work with an industry leader!

Responsibilities:
  • Performs technical/mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process. 
  • Must be familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and able to work with little or no supervision. Performs disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer’s specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers’ CMM guidelines and company operating procedures. 
  • Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned. 
  • Completes necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress. 
  • Performs final product preparation of units to be shipped

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to multitask.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card required.
  • Requires the ability to read and speak English and understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents. 
  • Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on. 
  • Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions. 
  • One (1) year mechanical experience and ability to attain required operating certifications. Ability to work as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aerospace production line experience.
  • Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
