Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) reports to the Assistant Chief of Maintenance.
The duties of the Aviation Maintenance Technician include:
• Maintaining the company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, FARs, and company policies. and FARs.
• Maintaining necessary files and records pertaining to the operation of the Maintenance Department.
• Supervising aircraft refueling operations, and checking and maintaining and aircraft consumables.
• Reviewing flight performance with pilots, by reports (logs) or by interview.
• Postflight inspections.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES (PLEASE LIST POSITION TITLES):

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Able to perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision
• Able to use FAA approved data (IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.
• Insure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
• All other duties as assigned to include hangar /aircraft cleaning and general building maintenance.



Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license
• Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Must possess a valid FAA A&P license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Some maintenance experience (including relative experience outside of Aviation).
• Must possess and be able to skillfully use the minimum tools required.
• Must possess the ability to learn.
• Must be capable of lifting 70 pounds over their head.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and flexible schedules to meet the aircraft schedule.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Duties of this job may require the employee to regularly sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility on lifts, ladders and stands.
• Will be exposed to dust, chemicals and waste on a regular basis as is typical in a working aircraft hangar.
