Maintenance Training Instructor

We are looking to hire a talented Maintenance Training Instructor to join our Gatwick team to conduct various types of maintenance training courses for customers, course types including both model-specific and generic courses. You will be evaluating student progress using both formal and informal methods. You will use engineering data to make sure training material is accurate for all customers. You will assist with the design and development of new courses and services as necessary to meet customers requirements. You will be working in a fast paced office environment. Expect to travel around 25 percent of the time.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Instructing - teach maintenance training classes, using both classroom and hands-on training methods. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper set up of training materials and presentation equipment and proper evaluation of student progress.
- Curriculum enhancement, make changes to course lesson plans, curricula, and other components of maintenance training courses and products to improve quality and maintain technical accuracy.
- Develop and present proposals to improve current training courses, products, and other services.
- May be called upon to assist with coaching & training less experienced team members.
- Participate with job assignments related to training material development. Perform duties as an AMTO Knowledge Examiner (KE) and/or Practical Assessor (PA).

Be able to conduct level III training for a specific subject area on multiple aircraft models or multiple subjects on one aircraft model.
- Communication - Manages effective flow of communication; uses appropriate style, grammar and tone in both written and verbal communication. Contributes to meetings and group settings.

Typical Education/Experience:
We are looking for someone who has experience in commercial or military aircraft maintenance, maintenance instruction, or supervision. Ideally you will hold a FAA A&P License (or similar credential for non-US locations) and will possess an engineering degree or similar qualifications. You will need to be familiar with computer applications, including presentation software, desktop publishing and database management.
