Thales is looking to recruit an IFE Maintenance Technician in London Heathrow on a permanent full time contract.  This would suit someone who is customer service focused and already has aircraft maintenance experience. The IFE Maintenance Technician role covers the management of daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events for Aircraft equipped with Thales TopSeries In flight entertainment. Coordinate with Airline and Thales personnel to ensure aircraft maintenance issues are resolved as per the agreed contractual obligations.  This role is part of a team of other Maintenance Technicians which operate shift cycles.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Implement and manage processes which establish accurate planned and unplanned maintenance activities for all aircraft fitted with Thales TopSeries IFE system.
  • Implement processes for identifying accurate material/spares requirements and quantities to support aircraft maintenance.
  • Carry out maintenance activities on Aircraft in accordance with approved documentation.
  • Be the point of contact “airside” for IFE maintenance activities whilst on shift and co-ordinate with airline staff
  • Support the technical team in capturing and investigating issues seen in service 
  • Support management in the continuous improvement of maintenance activities 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Essential
  • Experience in aviation line maintenance operation
  • Good AIRMANSHIP qualities
  • The candidate should possess a high level of computer competency
  • Forecasting and work planning experience
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication 
  • ONC, NVQ, C&G
  • Driving licence 

Desirable
  • A license - CAA
  • Leadership skills 
  • HNC
  • TCA approval
  • Computing or Software diploma
